Marshgate Mountaineers

This weekend the current year 5 Marshgate Mountaineers attempt to climb Snowdon, the highest Mountain in England and Wales.  Last year some of the current year 6 children and parents climbed Snowdon (see the September 2013 newsletter for more information).

27 children from year 5, their parents and 4 very brave staff members (Mrs Antick, Mr Aylett, Miss McClenning and Mr Hobbins) will be doing the climb on Sat 12th July (fingers crossed for good weather!)

This year they are raising money for Marshgate School and Rett UK, a small charity that supports families with children with Rett Syndrome.

This is a charity very close to this year's hearts as one of the younger siblings of the Mountaineers has Rett Syndrome and they have personally been helped and supported by the charity.

They have set a very ambitious target of £5000, so if you would like to sponsor them. the link tho their fundraising page is:

We wish them luck and thank you for your support.

From Emma Alleyne, PSA Snowdon Co-ordinator.
