Who are the Governors and what do they do?

The Governing Body provides strategic leadership of the school through monitoring the work of the school.  The Headteacher is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the school and the Governing Board’s role is to provide support to the Headteacher and other staff by acting as a “critical friend”.

In April 2025 we appointed a new Clerk, Rebecca Baker.  The previous Clerk, Helen Cox, has worked as Clerk since November 2008 in addition to her role as Office Manager in the school office.  Due to other commitments Helen resigned as Clerk in July 2024 but continued to provide support until a new appointment was made.
