At Marshgate, we are keen to learn about how we can make our contribution to creating a sustainable world.  The children’s actions have led to the award of Eco Schools status; we have our own Eco Code and are well on the way to addressing the Government’s Sustainable Schools criteria. Marshgate also has solar panels on both the main building and the Year 6 Annexe.

The school also has an Ecology Area which has a pond and a produce growing area.  The children enjoy spending supervised time in the Ecology Area planting seeds.  Groups of children also spend time helping to keep the area clear and tidy.
