International Day February 2013

Once again we had a fun day at Marshgate celebrating the cultural diversity of our school. Thanks to the mums who came and ran the stalls at the International Market. The wide variety of food made by the mums was delicious and everyone enjoyed tasting it. We were also treated to an amazing array of outfits worn by the children.
During the day the children had lots of activities to enjoy, for example in class activities included; making a Leaning Tower of Pisa out of spaghetti and marshmallows, making origami, shamrocks, boomerangs, flags and drawing Picasso portraits in a Cubist style. Children also enjoyed taking part in an African Drumming workshop, Bollywood dancing and Irish dancing. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a fun day, in particular Mr Aylett and Miss Pomell.
