At Marshgate Primary School, Design Technology is a practical problem-solving process incorporating identifying needs and opportunities, generating design proposals, planning & making and then evaluating. The essential aims of the Design Technology curriculum are to foster children's interests and observations of design in their environment, develop their communicative and reasoning skills and to apply their information and knowledge to real-life situations.  This is carried out in the classroom and in our dedicated Art & Design Room, using a wide variety of materials, tools and techniques. 

The school follows an adapted 'Kapow Primary' scheme for Design Technology.
